Wrapping your head around the commitment!

COMMITTMENT-Graphic-canstockphoto10358239Commitment. What commitment? That is the deep, burring question. Figuring out “exactly”what you want to commit to, and then actually wrapping your head around the fact that you WILL commit, and understand your own definition of commitment to which you are promising yourself.

In my case, as I have already gone down this somewhat-road (releasing JNP to the public for market appeal testing); so, I had a pre-disposed experience to the broad responsibilities this endeavor would require; therefore, I already knew it would be 10-fold on this next step-of-the-way. I knew it. I wrapped my head around it—and accepted it. I committed to it. And, as in any typical business engagement with a 20% contingency (I knowingly understood this was far from typical), I added in more—in this case, I knew my contingency would most likely be another 100%+. And, I was ready for it.

I now promised myself to commit: my time (all of it), professionally savvy (years of great experiences and growth), creative abilities (every ounce of creative I could draw from within me), and my savings (a lifetime of working and saving to date) —I thought this one through backwards—and I decided that at my own funeral, I wanted to be remembered for making a positive difference with my life—doing something that a commitment so intense would ultimately be rewarding to others.

I committed to make a positive difference in “my world,” whatever the definition of my world would become.

I took ownership of my commitment.

And I then recognized that my deep compassion actually made me very, very happy with “Me!.”
